HIV/AIDS
An estimated millions of Nigerians become infected with HIV/AIDS yearly. In order to reduce the number of infection, we use a balanced approach of ABC which include the promotion of Abstinence, Be faithful to partners, and/or consistence use of Condom as well as the implementation of voluntary counseling and testing, seminars and workshop on Human Right issues regarding HIV/AIDS and prevention of mother to child transmission, alongside a variety of educational and behavioural change communication campaigns that discourage harmful cultural norms such as Cross-generational sex, unprotected sex, stigma and prejudice against people living with HIV/AIDS. We are also in the fight against Tuberculosis that is an opportunistic infection. Currently, Dubass-Duke Foundation is training members of the society who are infected with HIV/AIDS on Skill Acquisition programme in the area of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This is done in collaboration with National Directorate for Employment (NDE) and SACA.
